Everyone belong to age-grade call Otu. The name of Otu is derived from the most important event of the time according to tradition. Members meet annually and as situations demand; it is through the age grade that all tasks involving physical labor in the community are assigned.
One can choose to be active by registering with one's age grade, adult membership means among other things, and the commitment to host age grade meeting upon notice. Males are closely associated with age grade.
