Bio Information
I hail from Akabuka, a market community in Ali Egi in Ogba in the Lower NorthEastern part of the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. I am interested in community environmental archeaology, communicology and social construction for sustainable developments and empowerments in rural areas. In the past 3.5 years, I have been practicing broadcast journalism as a staff of Daar Communications Limited: African Independent Television, AIT and Raypower 106.5 FM, especially covering legislative procedures and business of how a bill really becomes a law at the Rivers State House of Assembly, RSHA in my country, Nigeria. I graduated with Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, Mass Communication Option of Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Nkpolu, Port-Harcourt City. In 2003 I was elected into the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Programnme and became a life fellow from 2004 with a two year educational under the auspieces of Association of African Universities, AAU in Ghana. Also in 2006 obtained a post graduate Master of Arts International in Affairs MAIA in Communication and Development Studies of Ohio University, Athens (Columbus) United States of America. My research area is environmental health, culture and communication [Development Communication for Social Change and Emercipatory advocacy. My special interest is enviornmental archeaology about the effects and impacts of ecological crisis and footprint changes on natural and customary heritages, changes and diseases attrributable to and association with oil pollutions and gas flares in communities near production installation zones in the Niger Delta communities, through multiple planned communication media strategies and leadership for social justice.
