"Foreign scholars have made much fuss about the multitude of ethnic groups in Nigeria. Impartial investigation indicates that these multitudinous (P) (sic) groups have in fact very much in common- common origins, common cultural traits, commnon ancestors. It may be that Nigeria is, after all, not a mere "geographical expression", but an association of peoples whose ancestors had a common history and a common experience - a people with a common destiny."
